Spotlight: Carolina Colours' "Raise the Roof" Campaign in Honor of Patti Peebles

We're delighted to highlight the amazing community at Carolina Colours! Their dedicated "Raise the Roof" campaign, launched in honor of PattiPeebles, has been a tremendous success. As a Carolina Colours resident, a Past President of the RCS Board, and a steadfast friend of our organization, Patti embodies the spirit of dedication and community. The Carolina Colours campaign has raised almost $12,000 to support our efforts, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership and for honoring Patti's legacy in such a meaningful way.

Our Impact in Action: A Roof Overhead & the Path to Employment

Our Chief Client Services Officer, Katrina Henderson, often highlights many individuals who come to our Safe Haven (Emergency Shelter) are either already employed or quickly find work once they have a secure, stable place to rest their heads. A guaranteed bed and a safe roof overhead are truly foundational.

In the past two months, we've seen this impact firsthand, with a special focus on employment. We successfully connected several shelter residents with local job opportunities, and we're thrilled to share that three individualsreceived employment offers from businesses right in thedowntown district! We're incredibly grateful to our downtown partners for providing these vital opportunities. What's more, these jobs are conveniently located near RCS, making it easier for residents to commute using various modes of transportation.

This is the power of a safe place to stay. When our roof is secure, it provides the stability and peace of mind necessary for individuals to focus on building their futures, securing employment, and regaining independence. Your support for the "Raise the Roof" campaign directly translates into these life-changing opportunities.

Help Us Finish Strong & Raise the Roof!

We've made incredible strides, but there's still work to do! Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to raising the roof and continuing our vital work.
