Updated: 12 minutes ago

Get ready for an enchanting and slightly eerie evening! River City Scholars (RCS) is thrilled to announce our annual fundraising gala, and this year, we're taking a spirited journey into the realm of folklore with our theme: "Haunted Histories: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

Mark your calendars for October 18th as we transform Downtown New Bern into a scene straight out of Washington Irving's classic tale. Prepare for an unforgettable night filled with moonlit trolley rides through our historic downtown, a bewitching feast that will tantalize your taste buds, and spirited dancing that will keep you on your feet all night long.

This annual gala is a cornerstone event for RCS, providing crucial support for our mission to "build supportive community, engage people holistically, and empower permanent life change." By joining us for "Haunted Histories," you'll not only enjoy a magical night but also contribute directly to our programs that meet the basic needs of individuals and families facing hardship by providing food, clothing, shelter and supportive services.
